My name is Amy Petersen and I love being part of the St. Rita of Cascia Staff. This 2024-2025 school year I will be teaching the 1st Grade and lending my support as Assistant Principal. Additionally, I will assist with the Student Council and help lead our K-5 Math and Stem Club at our school. This will be my 17th year teaching either 1st or 2nd grade in a Catholic School. I have previously taught for the Archdiocese of Chicago. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Iowa with a specialization in elementary mathematics.  

My family and I live in Batavia where we love to spend time together and cheer on our Iowa Hawkeyes!
